The Project
The official music video drops alongside the single.
Nolden Etienne is a first-generation Haitian-American singer-songwriter, dancer, and performer from Westbury, New York. He blends rage with elements of rock and pop, establishing a unique sound to satisfy his soul.
In August 2025, he made his recording debut with "Vanity," introducing himself as an artist fascinated by beauty, art, and the desire to be consumed. In 2026 he's expanded his world with No Permission, the five-track project featuring "I Can't Help It," "2 of Eyes," "If You Get Cold," "I Am Stuck…," and "Vanity." Throughout the project, he explores the tension between his inner world and public image: societal pressure, longing, and the desire to express his identity in a world where autonomy is demanded, not handed to you.
Influenced by the unseen and a student of pop culture, he grew up witnessing the bridge between the physical and digital worlds. As a member of Gen Z, his aim is to show the world a new perspective and point of view.
At the center of his work is the pursuit of creating an identity on one's own terms. The philosophy is simple:
Ask for forgiveness,
not permission.
